Dear Mr. Bob and Mrs. Debbie Godwin
It has finally come time to sit down, put together
this letter expressing my sincere appreciation and to let you both know
how truly thankful I am to Godwin’s Fitness Club. I know this letter is
far overdue. I have mentioned on numerous occasions that I was going to
do it but nonetheless here it goes. I have been a member of Godwin’s
Fitness Club for over a year now. I have made tremendous changes to my
physical fitness regime over the past year. I lost weight; gained muscle
and most importantly, I have come to enjoy working out. I now have a
newfound respect for working out and taking care of myself and I owe it
all to Godwin’s Fitness. I cannot say enough about Godwin’s Fitness,
affectionately call, “The LAB.” The “lab” is small in statue but
amazingly huge when it comes to getting results. Everyday, people’s
lives are changed right in front of their very own eyes. The lab does
not have all the special amenities as some other gyms. The one amenity
that you cannot get at other gyms: Godwin’s offer that Personal Touch.
It is a family affair at Godwin’s. Everybody is affected by the personal
touch that Mr. Bob and Mrs. Debbie bring to this fitness club. I am
proud to say that I am apart of the Godwin Fitness Club Family.
Personally, Godwin’s Fitness has been more then just a gym experience.
Mr. Bob, you are more than just my trainer. You have become a mentor, a
role model and a Wonderful Friend. First and foremost, your knowledge
and the things you have taught me about working out has helped
tremendously. You are tough, but you have motivated and taken me to
levels I would never ever been able to achieve by myself. You have
become a mentor to me because through all my Personal issues, you taught
me lessons about life. You listened to me and stuck by me when I felt
like I did not have a friend in the world. I am grateful for that.
Although, I joke with you often, I want you to know from the bottom of
my heart that you are like a Father figure to me. I have the utmost
respect and admiration for you. I am very appreciative. Mrs. Debbie, I
want to applaud you for your partnership with Mr. Bob in making Godwin’s
Fitness the personable workout facility that it is today. You guys make
one heck of a team and that is why Godwin’s Fitness Club has sustained
as long as it has. I also want to thank you for allowing your husband
the time and energy to share his many talents, with not only me but with
all the clients that attend Godwin Fitness. Last thing, I want to
personally thank you for always treating me well despite you being aware
of my situation and thank you for praying for my family.
In closing, I would like to again thank you for all you have done in my
life and how you have touched so many other peoples lives. Godwin ‘s
Fitness or “THE LAB” as I like to refer to it, is a wonderful workout
facility. I would recommend Godwin’s Fitness Club to anyone who is
serious about getting into shape. I am very pleased and very proud to be
a member.
ThankYou!

I want to thank you for helping me make a difference in my life. I have been coming to your gym since September 2003. In span of three months; my blood pressure dropped from high to normal. I have been on blood pressure medicine for years. I am looking forward to my doctor taking me off my medication. I am able to wear clothes that have been hanging in my closet for years waiting for me to "lose weight." Let me tell you, that it is a great feeling. I am now able to wear my original wedding band. I have not been able to do that for 19 ˝ years because it was too small for my finger. I am considered a borderline diabetic and I have to monitor my blood.
The goal for me is to keep my sugar below 120 without medication. I usually average 100. My count for the past 30 days has always been between 80 and 96. I expect that to decrease even more as I continue to focus on getting fit.
Not only for reasons stated above do I attend your gym, but I also enjoy being there and working out in the Christian atmosphere that you set. I believe that we all are called to make a difference in someone’s life and you are fulfilling the calling that God has given to you.
Yes, it is hard work, but as you always say, "How bad do you want it?" That is what keeps me coming. I am 58 years old and after being unhealthy for quite some time, I want to age gracefully with the time that God is giving me. God wants me to prosper and be in health even as my soul prospers. Well, I say as someone in our class says every time he comes, "Bring it on!!"

Praise God from whom all blessings flow…...
My experience at Godwin’s Fitness Club has been a blessing primarily because the Godwin’s operate a ministry. I am 63 years of age, diagnosed with many of the diseases that affect Afro-Americans in general and Afro-American men in particular.
In the brief span of 3 months that I along with my wife (another blessing) have been coming to the club, both I and others have become aware of positive changes in my physical being as well as my psyche. I truly believe that the negative, which has bound me for many years; is being reversed.
I am committed to this program and for those whose belief and trust is in the numbers I say: "the best is yet to come.

The words "no pain – no gain" and the logic behind it were what I disliked most about formal exercise programs. Since joining Godwin’s Fitness Club, I have come to realize the positive in a negative sounding statement. I have learned to accept the pain. I’ve gained or increased in my physical strength, endurance, energy, body toning, self-confidence, ability to manage stress, reduction in aches and pains, determination, a positive outlook, spiritual well being, and a positive self image. Godwin’s gym has given me a holistic view of body, mind and spirit fitness. Now my new mantra is – "How bad do you want it."

I started working out at Godwin’s Fitness Club in February 2003. My goal was to add some size, weight and definition to my body while also learning about the right foods to eat and the proper way to work out to get the best results. These things I struggled with for years. I never had the proper guidance long enough for me to stay on track and stay dedicated to accomplishing my goal.
The first few days at the gym were the hardest. I was pushing my body past limits I have not encountered in a long time. There was definitely pain but even greater pleasure in knowing that I was on the right path to having the body I had set out to get. Gradually, my strength increased as well as my weight. I started gaining more definition. Everyone would tell me they could see significant results even when I could not notice them myself. I was gaining self-confidence, but most of all, I just felt better.
One of the things I like the most about Godwin’s Fitness Club is the atmosphere. Our trainer, Bob (a.k.a Bro. Bob), does his best to help everyone feel comfortable, and he plays a major part in setting a friendly environment. His personality makes working out enjoyable even when it feels he is being tough on us. He sees your potential and knows you can handle the routine even when you have it set in your mind, "I can not do this." In addition, the members of Godwin’s Fitness Club add to that friendly environment with their jokes and positive spirits.
I am thankful I hooked up with Bro. Bob and Godwin’s Fitness. He’s helped me do things I know I couldn’t have done on my own. It has almost been a year and this is the longest I have ever stuck with a consistent workout schedule. That is due to the guidance and wisdom he has and the motivation he gives me to achieve my goals. Godwin’s Fitness has helped me greatly, and I look forward to seeing how much further I can go.

Bob & Debbie,
The Godwin Fitness Club has been a blessing in my life. I am a stay at home mom with small children. Working out at the gym
has improved my muscle tone, strength, stamina and best of all makes me feel good about myself. The idea of having access to a
personal trainer definitely attracted me to the Godwin’s Fitness Club.I have been to other clubs previously and have felt like a number.
I did not know how to use the equipment and found very little assistance provided. At Godwin's, I feel like a part of the family and am
provided with one-on-one training. Bob Godwin is very enjoyable to work with. He challenges, encourages me and is very knowledgeable.
I would recommend anyone looking for a similar experience to check it out.

Dear Debra and Bob,
Glory to God and praise Him for HE is worthy to be praised. I just want to say a HUGE THANK you for obedience to God, as HE has led you to develop Godwin's Fitness Club. The Club has truly blessed my life. I have only been with the club a month and I can already feel a difference in my health and my movement. It is AWESOME what God is doing. From the moment I stepped into your club, I knew that God had his hands in this.

Dear Bob,
What a joy it has been these last two weeks! Since I have joined your Fitness Club, my life has changed dramatically. I have become more positive, more focused and most of all proud to be trained by such a wonderful and motivational person. You have given me the motivation to want to press on and become a better person physically. I thank God that we crossed paths a few weeks ago. I know that the training will be hard, but because of you, I am up to challenge!! Once again, Thank you Bob!
